ASUU Strike: FG Postpones Meeting With Union

The Federal Government on Monday cancelled a meeting scheduled with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over the lingering crisis in the education sector.

“Good morning colleagues. Please note that the meeting with ASUU earlier scheduled for today (Monday) is cancelled,” spokesman of Ministry of Labour and Employment Charles Akpan said in a message to the news media.

He did not give reasons for the development.

This was the second time in two weeks that the scheduled meeting was postponed by the government.
