Bilic took charge as the Baggies drew 1-1 at Manchester City on Tuesday night. But West Brom’s Chinese owners had already decided they need a change in direction to avoid relegation.

They will negotiate with Bilic today to discuss his exit and then bring in former England boss Allardyce to lead them to safety.

Allardyce, now 66, has performed similar tasks at Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Everton and is likely to sign an initial deal until to the end of the season.

West Brom are currently 19th on the log with seven points.
