EPL: Lampard Reacts After Chelsea Defeat West Ham 3-0

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has identified midfielder, Mateo Kovacic as the player that ‘helped’ his side defeat West Ham United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard said Kowacic helped Chelsea to get on the ball throughout the encounter against West Ham. Chelsea defeated West Ham, thanks to two goals from Tammy Abraham and a strike from Thiago Silva.

“We started really well, but in the second half for periods, we didn’t have as much of the ball and getting Mateo Kovacic on helped us because he got us on the ball to help us through that final period,” Lampard was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying after the game.

“It wasn’t vintage from us, but we were good in parts. The best part for me was the character the lads shown, having come into the game off the back of two defeats.”

Chelsea’s next game is against Arsenal on Saturday.
