Anaedoonline.ng have watched very closely the recent media attacks on the person of Dr Ugboaja Joe, the current CMAC NAUTH.

There is no iota of doubt that these are sponsored publications aimed at smearing his image with the ultimate aim of compromising his chances at the upcoming CMD contest.

While we do not dictate to anybody how to go about his or her political campaign or propagation, we detest the use of campaign of calumny, mudslinging or other foul means in doing this.

The CMAC is a person, all of us know. His antecedents, character, moral probity, passion and capacity to develop the Teaching Hospital is also well known. The various transformational initiatives he brought to the hospital are also known and documented and his leadership qualities are also clear.

It is gratifying that in the face of all these attacks and provocations, the CMAC has maintained his cool and that is quite commendable. He should not be distracted.

The current status of the Teaching hospital is anything but satisfactory and therefore calls for efforts to enthrone an appropriate leadership that will mobilize all stakeholders for the development of the hospital.

We at anaedo online fully identify with the vision of Dr Ugboaja Joe to transform NAUTH into one of the top ranking hospitals in the country because that will be of immense benefits to this community and its people.

We encourage the CMAC not to give in to detractors but to remain undeterred in his vision of transforming the Teaching Hospital.

We are equally calling on all those who are paid to do a hatchet job on the CMAC and their sponsors to desist from that dishonourable path and join hands in moving the hospital forward.
