Rivers Utd Coach Reacts After A Narrow Win Against Adamawa Utd

After recording a narrow win against Adamawa United, Manager of Nigeria Professional Football League Rivers United has attributed the not too impressive performance of his team to fatigue, Anaedoonline.ng reports.

Rivers United whom most people refer to as the most inform team in league have been finding it tough in recent matches.

The team suffered a 0-1 defeat to Kano Pillars midweek in one of the rescheduled league matches. The team was awarded a penalty in the first stanza but missed it through Godwin Aguda.

It was Fortune Omoniwari who netted the only goal of the game in the 51st minute and secured a maximum points for the team.

Eguma said, he’s is not happy with the performance but believe that they will return to their old form .

“Today we didn’t have a very good game as usual. Sometimes it’s like that, maybe I’ll attribute it to the lots of traveling we just made recently.

I think the players were a bit down in terms of fitness. I can see a little bit of fatigue showing in the team. Even today we made a lot of changes in the team but we did not play as usual play good football.

I think it’s just for today we will try to make it up to correct some of our lapses,” he said
