The posters, which began flooding Katsina on Monday night, was being sponsored by a group known as Nigeria Youth Awareness Group (YAB), who was also behind its printing and circulation.

Messages contained on the posters include “Yahaya Bello for President and Bello for a Generational Change, 2023.”

One of the youth pasting the posters at Kofar Kaura told The Nation that those who gave them the job promised to give them money after pasting them (the posters).

The boy, who pleaded that his name should not be mentioned for security reasons said: “My friend called me this morning and said I should join them to collect and paste the posters.”

An executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state who pleaded anonymity said he had also seen the posters, clarifying that no political party was indicated on it.
