A lecturer from the Department of Political Science, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbaraim, Anambra State, Mrs Uche Grace Ojukwu has emerged as the first female Professor of Political Science in the institution.

Prof. Uche Grace Ojukwu who hails from Nnewi, will become the first female Political Science Professor in the school after many years of the existence of Political Science Department in the University.

Uche Ojukwu who before his elevation was a Senior Lecturer in Political Science, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, is an alumnus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the prestigious University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.


She has co-authored many books and journals in the field of Public Administration, Community and Rural Development, Gender Studies, Comparative Local Government and Development Studies.
Mrs. Ojukwu is a member of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), National Political Science Association (NPSA); Fellow, Association of Public Policy Analysis of Nigeria (APPAN) and Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
