The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has promised to distribute free oil to some African countries. Nnamdi Kanu said Biafra would distribute free oil to Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast and Gambia when seceded from Nigeria. He explained that the decision was to prove that the secession for Biafra was not for oil or money.

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has stated that his refusal to cover the misdeeds of his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha was the reason he had sworn to bring down his government. Uzodimma, who stated this in a statement signed by his Media Adviser and Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku noted that Okorocha confirmed the begging in a recent interview he granted to journalists in Abuja.

Women from Umueri in the Anambra East Local Government Area have protested against alleged grabbing of their land by the Anambra State Governor, Mr. Willie Obiano. The women who protested naked yesterday at the site of the Anambra airport project alleged that the land originally mapped out by the Umueri community for the airport project is now being shared among government officials in parcels while a separate expanse of land was grabbed by the state government for the airport project that would soon be commissioned.

A Sunday praise and worship program in an Assemblies of God Church, Ohii, in Owerri West LGA of Imo State, turned tragic when a pastor of the church, named Nnamdi Duru, collapsed at the pulpit and died latter, while what could have turned sour for the congregation at Holy Cross Parish, Aladinma, Owerri was averted when a kid set a Christmas crib in the church on fire.
