APGA Support Group, Afa Igbo Bu Ofu, Holds Anniversary/Award Day, Calls For Free And Fair Party Primary Election

To ensure that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, emerges stronger for the 2021 Anambra Governorship election, Afa Igbo Bu Ofu, a support group in the Party, yesterday, 27th March, 2021, at the maiden anniversary/ award day for outstanding members in the party, called for a free and fair primary election that will meet the nation’s electoral guidelines.

Present at the event are the Traditional ruler of Awba-Ofemili, Igwe Ezekwesili Mmaduagwu, SA to Governor Obiano on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, APGA stakeholders in Anambra State including Chief Ben Obi, and teeming members of Afa Igbo Bu Ofu Support Group.

Others are Governorship aspirants under APGA, including Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, Honourable Chukwuma Umeoji, Honourable Melie Onyejepu, Honourable Thankgod Ibeh, Chief Dr. Okwudili Ezenwankwo, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu represented by Honourable Dr. Kingsley Ezekwelu.

In his address, the National Leader of Afa Igbo Bu Ofu, Honourable Onyedika Chukwuma, said free and fair primary election will enable APGA forge a common front in order to emerge victorious in the coming election, calling on APGA leaders, aspirants and faithful to support the move.
Meanwhile, Anaedoonline.ng reported that Nonso Okafor, the honourable member representing the good people of Nnewi North constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly declared his intention to run for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primaries to become the party flag bearer at the November 6th Anambra gubernatorial election.

While making his intention known to the party executives and members, Hon. Okafor extolled the party leadership for their exceptional leadership in managing the affairs of the party over the years.

He also acknowledged the good works of His Excellency, Chief Dr Willie Obiano, the executive governor of Anambra State and the pace of work currently ongoing at the Anambra International Airport.

Talking about his ambition, he stated that; “This is an idea whose time has come.” Alluding to the fact that it was time for Ndi Anambra to experience a new leadership at Agu Awka with a breath of youthfulness and agility.
