The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has disclosed the real reason behind the creation of Ebube Agu security outfit for the South-East region. Uzodinma in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, said the security outfit is not an alternative to the police, army and other federal government established security outfits.

Uzodinma in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, said the security outfit is not an alternative to the police, army and other federal government established security outfits. This came as a governorship aspirant in the party, Dr. Godwin Maduka donated 25 Sienna cars to the local government secretaries of PDP. Chairman of the party in Anambra State, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu made the clarification following insinuations that party stakeholders in Abuja had already settled for a particular aspirant said to be wealthy.

In a move to checkmate the crisis between farmers and herders in Anambra state, the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has instructed the state commissioner of Police, Mr. Monday Kuryas, to produce information of herdsmen operating in the state within one week. Governor Obiano gave the directive during the expanded Cattle Menace Committee meeting held in Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area.

That very movement of vehicles and passengers under tension along the Enugu Abakaliki expressway has been halted following the heavy shooting at the Ezilo axis of the highway by gunmen. It was not immediately clear those responsible for the shootings. ANAEDOONLINE had reported two persons were killed in a renewed boundary dispute between the Exilic community and the neighboring Iyionu community.
