In Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, The people of Obukpa have described the untiring zeal and steadfastness of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration in transforming the state, despite various economic, security, and public health challenges confronting the nation, as a rewarding experience in the social contract between the state government and the people.

The Governor of Ebonyi state, in the person of David Nweze Umahi, has appealed to the Ezzillo and Iyionu people in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state to sheath their sword and give peace a chance. Governor Umahi made the appeal when he visited Ezzillo to ascertain the causes of the altercation between the two villages which has led to the loss of two lives.

The Southeast group in a statement released on Wednesday, April 21, alleged that the Nigerian Army has continued to raid some communities in Imo State to effect the arrest of residents, especially youths and women. The INC in the statement signed by its President, Chilos Godsent urged Imo Governor, Hope Uzodinma, and President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to quickly intervene and stop the Army from further raiding and arresting youths and women of these communities over allegation of being members of IPOB.

Chibuike Apolos, A major supplier of illicit drugs in Abia State has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA. Apolos was on Wednesday apprehended during an early morning raid of his hideout at Mbausi in Isialangwa North area of the state.

Sir Norbert Obi, The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has asked political actors within the party, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election, slated for November 6, 2021, in the state, to play by the rules guiding the party. On Tuesday, Sir Obi, made the call while exchanging views with newsmen at the state secretariat of the party in Awka.
