Air Force Investigates Plane Crash That Killed Chief Of Army Staff

The Nigerian Air Force has commenced investigations into the cause of a plane crash that killed the Chief of Army Staff, General Attahiru, on Friday.

The COAS died with seven others, including his aides, in the crash that occurred in Kaduna. The aircraft involved in the crash belongs to the Nigerian Air Force.

The Nigerian Air Force, in a statement by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, on Friday night, said the crash is being investigated.

The statement read, “An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport.

“The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon.”
