NAPTIP: Buhari Exchanges Heads Of Agencies

On Thursday 27th May 2021, The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari approved the swapping of positions between the two heads of agencies under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.

The development was disclosed in a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu.

Shehu noted that the heads of agencies were swapped to realize and sustain the government’s abiding desire for effective and efficient service delivery in the two organizations.

The current Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, takes over from Basheer Garba Mohammed as Federal Commissioner National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).

Mohammed, a former Senator, becomes the new Director-General of NAPTIP. President Buhari noted that the changes be effected after comprehensive handover notes to successors.

In another development, President Buhari has appointed Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
