BREAKING: ASUP Suspends Strike For Three Months

Lecturers under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics have suspended their 65-day industrial action.

According to REPUBLICAN NG, the suspension was announced in a statement by the Secretary-General, Shaamah Kpanja on Friday.

The statement added that the strike was suspended following a 74% vote received from various chapters to end the action.

The union, however, said the suspension is for a period of three months within which it expected the Federal Government to fulfil the agreements reached with the union.
