The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has emerged as the 2021 Anambra State governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, in Anambra State.
Ifeanyi Ubah, who was cleared by the YPP national leadership in Abuja, had no rival for the party candidate ticket.

Ifeanyi Ubah while reacting on his emergency as the party flag bearer said the current insecurity in the south-East would not affect the electoral process and that his party would emerge victoriously in the November election.
He further stated that his party is not behind the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the state, contrary to insinuations in some quarters.
