The co-convener of Concerned Nigerians advocacy group, Deji Adeyanju, has accused the Department of State Services (DSS) of torturing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, in custody. Recall that Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria last Sunday.

Hon. Chuma Michael Umeoji has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Jude Okeke-led faction of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the Anambra election. Anaedoonline.ng reports that Umeoji is a sitting member of the House of Representatives, representing Aguata Federal Constituency.

The minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, has narrated how gunmen believed to be operatives of the Nigerian Army and Department of State Security attacked Sunday Igboho’s home. According to the former minister, security operatives surrounded the house, laid siege on the occupants and then attacked, people were killed.

The Nigerian Army has debunked reports that its troops attacked the Ibadan home of Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho earlier on Thursday. Anaedoonline.ng reports that this was made known by the spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, Onyema Nwachukwu.
