This Is Who FG Would Have Blamed If I Was Killed By DSS – Sunday Igboho

Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, on Friday said President Muhammadu Buhari government would have accused unknown gunmen if security agents had killed him on Thursday.

Recall that operatives of the Department of State Security on Thursday confirmed the attack and killing of two people at the residence of the Yoruba Nation agitator.

The secret police claimed that ammunition was recovered from the residence of the activist, while about 12 others were arrested.

Igboho in a statement released through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, said, “Buhari’s regime would have declared that ‘unknown gunmen’ invaded my home if they had succeeded in killing me.”

He added that the government has failed to link him to any crime, “desperately opted to forcefully silence him so that the criminal herdsmen, who enjoy government’s immunity, can easily outrun the Southwest.”

Igboho claimed that he was being seen as a threat to the “Fulanization agenda in the Southwest, hence the desperation to soil my name.”

He explained that Yoruba people would not have demanded a nation if the government had lived up to its responsibilities, adding that “Self-determination is not a crime and all effort to silence us and acquire our ancestral land for local and foreign criminal herdsmen will fail.”
