The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have distanced themselves from a report linking the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and Senator Ifeanyi Uba to the arrest of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The spokesman of the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement released on Monday warned that those who used his name to release a statement which linked Uba and Wike to the betrayal of the IPOB leader to desist from such.

The Southern Governors’ Forum on Monday picked Lagos State as its permanent secretariat after successfully holding a meeting in the state. Anaedoonline.ng reports that this was made known in a communique released to newsmen by the Chairman, Southern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations on Monday held a candlelight service for its founder, Prophet T B Joshua. The candlelight service, which was the commencement of Prophet Joshua week-long funeral, took place at the church premises in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos.
