Top DAILY POST Reporter Edem Edem Is Dead

A staff of DAILY POST, Edem Edem has died after an illness, his wife announced. The newspaper correspondent who covers Cross River State died on Wednesday night.

Born October 1, 1960, Edem hailed from Eto-Mkpe (Inameti Yellow Duke House) in Akpabuyo Local Government Area.

Edem obtained a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Lagos, and a National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Calabar (now Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH).

He graduated from the International Institute of Journalism (Affiliate of the University of Maiduguri) with a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising.

Edem is survived by a wife, children, and siblings. The family will announce burial arrangements in due course.

Reacting to Edem’s death, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Cross River chapter, Victor Udu expressed sadness over the demise.

Udu said a statement will be issued after NUJ’s condolence visit to Edem’s family
