Winners have emerged from the 2021 AFRIMA Award ceremony which was held in Lagos State, Nigeria on Sunday night.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that AFRIMA is an annual event that celebrates the achievements of musicians and singers across the African continent.

The show was hosted by Eddie Kadi and Pearl Thusi, and witnessed singing performances from Patoranking, Chike, Olakira, D’banj among others.

AFRIMA 2019: West Africa Leads With 38% Entries

Nigerian singer, Wizkid had a great night at the show held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, scooping three awards out of the four nominations he got this year including the Best Artiste of the Year award.

Other awards he won on the night include Best Song of the Year and Best African Collaborations.

African Artiste of the year – Wizkid

Best Female Artiste in Northern Africa – Manal Benchlikha

Best Artiste, Duo, or Group in African R & B Soul – Nikita Kering

Best African Female Artiste in Inspirational Music.- Shanah Manjeru

Davido, Burna Boy, Nasty C Lead 2019 AFRIMA Continental Nominees’ List

Song of the year- Wizkid

Africans Fan’s Favorite – Fireboy DML

Best Duo African Hip hop award alongside Cheque – Fireboy DML

Best African Collaboration – Wizkid

Album of the year – Iba One

African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music – Iba One

Best Song Writer – Iba One

Best Male Artiste from Western Africa – Iba One
