Christians have been urged to internalize the ideals and virtues of Jesus Christ as they celebrate Christmas.

Delivering his Christmas homily at the Cathedral Church of St. Mary’s Uruagu Nnewi, today, the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Chukwuka Obi, advised Christians that the season is not only for merriment but a for time soul-searching.

Speaking further, he urged those who are yet to give their life to Christ to do so immediately as man is only a stranger here on earth. He said that the activities that surrounded the birth of Christ showed that Jesus came for both the rich and poor.

The bishop revealed that when he gave his life to Christ his friends left him as they all thought he was foolish. He noted that events that have taken place in his life over the years have shown that he was not foolish as most of his friends thought.

He charged Christians to remain consistent in their faith in God, noting that God always rewards his righteous servants
