Senator Ademola Adeleke, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket in the 2022 Osun gubernatorial race, has revealed why he left the party’s peace conference.

Adeleke clarified that he did not leave the meeting out of rage, as some have believed, and that his choice to depart was not based on any dispute with others there.

Senator Adeleke is said to have walked out of an Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) peace meeting organized by former governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, at his Okuku residence ahead of the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election.

He went on to say that he agrees with all of the resolutions passed during the meeting aimed at bringing all disgruntled parties together ahead of the state’s governorship election on July 16.

“I applaud our leaders for the satisfactory results of the meeting,” Adeleke said in a statement posted by his Campaign Organization. I’m proud of the decisions that were made.

“In Osun State, the PDP has become one large unified family.” I accepted the decisions made, however I had to leave immediately to attend to pressing family problems.

“We encourage PDP members to keep the peace efforts continuing and avoid spreading rumors that might jeopardize the existing reconciliation work.”
