According to reports, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), is a supporter of Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential ambitions.
The news comes following rumors that Osinbajo will declare his presidential ambitions in the 2023 election after the All Progressives Congress’s National Convention.
However, in a statement issued on Monday, Osinbajo denied that he will officially announce his intention to run in the general elections.
Presidential Election: Osinbajo Declares Intention Ahead 2023
“Despite the continuous attacks against his now suspected presidential ambition by some interests in the southwest, where he originates from, Osinbajo had made up his decision to give the presidency a chance,” a support group for ‘Osinbajo 2023’ posted on Instagram.
“Even more telling was the fact that Osinbajo had obtained Pastor Adeboye’s endorsement and command to pursue his desire.”
If Osinbajo decides to run in the upcoming presidential election, he will be vying for the party’s presidential ticket ahead of Bola Tinubu, the party’s national leader, whom many regard as his benefactor.
