Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Threatens To Expose Those Behind Agbo-Edo Land Encroachment

The leadership of the town union body of Nnewi, Nzuko-Ora Nnewi has threatened to expose those behind Agbo-land encroachment.

The President-General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Maduka Atuenyi who is committed in recovering the property for Nnewi community has said that he is ready to publish the names of the land grabbers if they refuse to hands-off from the land.

Speaking to Anaedoonline.ng, Chief Maduka revealed that he is already in possession of the original survey plan of Agbo-Edo, and any of the land grabbers who refuse to vacate the land as ordered by the town union and the traditional institution will soon face the music.

He expressed sadness on why some group of people in the town has decided to use the community land to enrich their private pockets to the detriment of the entire community.

According to him, although previous administrations have kept a blind eye on the encroachment, the present leadership of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi will stop at nothing to ensure that the property is recovered.

He said he has the mandate of the traditional ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu (III), Obi Uruagu Nnewi, Obi Afam Obi (Ogidi IV), Obi Umudim Nnewi, Obi Benneth Okafor (Amaukwu), and Obi George Onyekaba (Obi Nnewichi) to recover the land.

Speaking further, he warned that if the land grabbers who are mostly Nnewi indigenes refuse to vacate the land, he will make the survey plan public and those behind the sales.

The community leader also did not hide the fact that there have been series of threats on his life and various attempts to bribe him and his executive following his insistence to recover the land, noting that he is not moved by the threats or someone that can be bribed.
