Finally, In Matter of Hours, President Buhari Will Sign Electoral Bill – Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to sign the reworked Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law in a matter of hours, according to the administration.

Mr Femi Adesina, President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, stated this on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

“It might be signed tonight; it could be signed tomorrow,” he explained. It just took a few hours, not days. Hours might be 24, 48, or even 72 hours; days and weeks are not possible.”

Anaedoonline.ng remembers that the National Assembly amended the contentious law and sent it to the president for signature on January 31, 2022.

Within 30 days after its passage, the President is anticipated to sign the measure.

The presidency had yesterday, lambasted groups and individuals who were dragging President Muhammadu Buhari on social media for allegedly being reluctant on assenting to the bill.
