LATEST: Finally, US Reveals Identity of Sponsors Of ISIS, ISWAP

The sponsors of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and ISIS-Mozambique money facilitators in South Africa were identified by the United States of America on Wednesday.

Farhad Hoomer, Siraaj Miller, Abdella Abadigga, and Peter Mbaga are the terrorist group’s supporters.

The sponsors have been accused by the US government of sponsoring ISIS branches and networks all throughout Africa.

The following individuals have also been revealed as sponsors of the Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP), which has been assaulting communities in Nigeria’s northern region.

The US Department of Treasury’s spokesman, Ned Price, revealed this in a statement made on Wednesday.

“Designation of ISIS organisers and financial facilitators located in South Africa,” read the statement.

“Today, the United States identified four ISIS and ISIS-Mozambique financial facilitators in South Africa,” the announcement adds.

Farhad Hoomer, Siraaj Miller, Abdella Abadigga, and Peter Mbaga have been identified as terrorists and their sympathizers under Executive Order 13224, as modified.

“In South Africa, ISIS members and allies are assisting in the movement of monies from the top of the ISIS hierarchy to branches around Africa.”

“We are taking today’s action to further disrupt and expose key ISIS and ISIS-M supporters who raise revenue for ISIS and exploit South Africa’s financial system to facilitate funding for ISIS branches and networks across Africa.

“All property and interests in property of the individuals named above, and of any entities that are owned, directly or indirectly, 50 per cent or more by them, individually, or with other blocked persons, that are in the United States or in the possession or control of US persons, must be blocked and reported to OFAC. Unless authorised by a general or specific license issued by OFAC or otherwise exempt, OFAC’s regulations generally prohibit all transactions by the US.”
