Fighters from the Biafra Nations League (BNL), a pro-Biafra organisation, are now meeting with Ambazonian Boys, a pro-independence movement fighting for self-rule in South-West Cameroon.

According to a source, the conference now taking place on the Bakassi Peninsula is to discuss prospective coordinated actions between the Peninsula and the Ndian division.

BNL wants to separate Nigeria’s south-east from the rest of the country to form Biafra, an independent country.

“The Biafra Nations League, BnL, is now receiving Ambazonia militants in Bakassi Peninsula,” a source told Newsmen. “Reports claim that the Ambazonia fighters are already meeting with BnL officials and loyalists in the region for probable coordinated operations from the Peninsula to Ndian division.”

Ebuta Takon, BnL’s Deputy Leader, confirmed the development, saying that the group is having a brief chat with the Amba boys and that they were invited, but declining to comment on the nature of the meeting.

The pro-Biafra faction has previously claimed responsibility for the lack of vessel movement from Cameroon to Nigeria into the Bakassi Peninsula.
