Unknown gunmen bombed the residence of Prof George Obiozor, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, in Awo- Omamma, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State.
The perpetrators allegedly utilized improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and petrol bombs to destroy the structure.

According to eyewitnesses from the Awo-Omamma village, unknown gunmen entered the property around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, shot indiscriminately for nearly 15 minutes before lighting the building on fire.

“Officially, there was no report of life lost,” Micheal Abattam, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, confirmed the occurrence.
