CP Echeng Echeng, the Commissioner of Police, has launched a manhunt for the armed individuals, according to Ikenga.

He stated the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist Unit, Special Forces, and others who had been asked to deploy against the gunmen were already in the area, and that normalcy had been restored while the operation was still ongoing.

“Although no notification of the planned burial was given to the Police, intelligence suggests that the Vigilante groups were invited,” he stated.

“According to additional information gathered, the miscreants came at the event and began firing randomly in an effort to neutralize the vigilante operations.
