Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, has branded Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State’s recent statements on pressing national issues as worrying and despotic.

According to the group’s Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, such behavior will surely end Wike’s political career.

He compared the Governor to Idi Amin of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP.

Umahi’s Sack: Wike Reveals PDP Will Oust Umahi If It Means Going To Supreme Court

“We are reviewing the legal implications of Governor Wike’s vexatious outbursts over the Abuja Federal High Court judgement that sacked Ebonyi Governor, the Deputy Governor, and House of Assembly members,” Ohanaeze said, accusing Wike of openly claiming responsibility for the recent judgment against Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi State.

“This is confirmation that there is a huge hooligan plot to destabilize the Southeast,” Ohanaeze said, adding that “it is terrible that it is coming from a man who denied his Igbo ethnicity.”

“The slaughter of Igbos in Obigbo (Oyibo) in Rivers State is still vivid in our thoughts,” Isiguzoro continued.

“The sponsors of the vast scheme and conspiracy to depose the governor of Ebonyi remain a subversive and provocative invasion intended at diverting attention away from the presidential election in 2023 in the South-East.”

Umahi Blasts Wike Over Comment On His Sack As Ebonyi Governor

“How long before Wike realizes that instead of seeking conflicts on all fronts, he should be a bright light for the PDP and the Niger Delta?”

“Ndigbo will forgive Governor Wike if he retreats and apologizes to Umahi, but disastrous consequences await him if he continues in these futile expeditions.”
