The bombing and demolition of the home of Professor George Obiozor, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has been condemned by the Coalition of South East Youths.
Obiozor’s country home in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State was recently torched by unknown gunmen, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
The gunmen blew up the structure with improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, and a petrol bomb.

COSEYL, which condemned the arson as “madness taken too far” in a statement published by its President General, Goodluck Ibem, said those responsible for the regrettable incident must not go unpunished, stating it is not in the essence of Ndigbo to commit arson or disrespect elders in the land.
“Professor George Obiozor has never been found wanting on any topic affecting Ndigbo since he took over the mantle of leadership as the President General of the Apex socio-cultural body of Ndigbo,” the statement reads. He has always stood up for the interests of our people.
“Anyone involved in the planning and destruction of Obiozor’s house is an enemy of Ndigbo, and they will not go unpunished.”
“Any tribe that disrespect their leaders should not expect to be respected by other tribes outside their region. These arsonists and their co-travellers must be arrested to account for their actions against this great leader of Ndigbo.
