“Don’t Destroy Our 2023 Chances” – Buhari Warns APC Members Over Party Crisis

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, not to do anything that could endanger the party’s chances in the 2023 election.

The president made the remarks on Friday, a day before the party’s national convention, which will take place in Eagle Square in Abuja on Saturday.

He reminded party leaders of the restricted time frame set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stressing that the party does not have time for frivolous activities that would not assist the party.

“Consistently maintain their eyes on the ball and deny any distraction,” the Nigerian leader advised the party.

He said: “in a manner that not only fortifies the unity of our party but also improves the prospects of our electoral fortunes in the 2023 general elections”.

“We should all do our part to ensure the success of this convention. This will fortify us for the campaigns ahead of us.”

The warning is coming two weeks after the president urged the party to stop all manner of infighting over the convention.
