2023: Yul Edochie Tackles Tinubu, Atiku Over Silence During EndSARS Protest

Yul Edochie, a Nigerian actor and presidential candidate, has attacked Bola Tinubu, Abubakar Atiku, and others for ignoring the youths during the end-of-police-brutality rally.

On Saturday, the actor questioned politicians about their participation in the demonstration, which saw tens of thousands of Nigerian youths go to the streets.

The old tactics, according to Yul Edochie, will no longer open new doors since the youths now know better and will not be duped by empty promises.

He wrote; ”Those old men who want to be President of our country, ask them where they were during the End Sars protest.

“When we stood up under the rain and sun against police brutality and bad governance, “When our lives mattered most where were they? “We shall no longer be deceived. “Same old ways will never open new doors.”

In October, 2020, tens of thousands of young Nigerians took to the streets to protest against police brutality after a video went viral of a man allegedly being killed by the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars), sparking what became known as the #EndSars demonstrations.

During the demonstrations, some prominent politicians kept mum as youths across the country protested against police brutality.
