2023 Presidency: I Won’t Be A Social Media President – Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, explained on Monday why he wants to be President of Nigeria in 2023.

According to the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, he wants to solve Nigeria’s biggest challenge, insecurity.

Wike announced his desire to run in the 2023 presidential election in Benue State on Sunday.

Wike criticized the latest attack on Kaduna State’s international airport while appearing on Channels TV on Monday.

“Just look at what happened two days ago when bandits attempted to seize control of an international airport,” he remarked. Bandits are attempting to take over an international airport in Kaduna, rather than kidnapping people in buses.

“What does this mean for our country?” So, what does this mean for investors? How did they gain access? What went wrong? There is no intelligence. The current administration is not doing enough; there is no commitment.

“As a leader, you have a responsibility to oversee and supervise what is going on.”

The Governor of Rivers State has committed to put an end to oil bunkering in the country’s south.

He stated that, like the current President, Muhammadu Buhari, he would act through social media, but that he would be at the forefront to guarantee that the service chiefs execute their jobs.

Wike when asked whether the PDP has the moral right to come back to power after its eight-year break from Aso Villa said, “Certainly, Nigerians have compared and seen; we were thinking that these guys (All Progressives Congress) are saints; we didn’t know that they have the worst record. It is unfortunate. In 2015, Nigerians are told all kinds of lies and today, Nigerians are saying that they have been deceived.”
