Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, the Executive Governor of Anambra State, paid a visit to Nnewi South LGA Ukpor on March 31, 2022, to express his displeasure with the burning of some office buildings by arsonists who attacked the Secretariat at 12 a.m. this morning, killing security personnel and gaining access into the compound.
The Governor, who was accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, the TC Chairman of Nnewi South L.G.A Hon. Henry Chieloka, and other security chiefs, denounced the attack as “impoverishing the common man on the street,” claiming that resources meant to improve lives and maintain law and order in the state were being used to renovate the building destroyed by hoodlums.

Governor Soludo said his heart bleeds with the mindless destruction of key buildings within the local government. The education Office and Works department including the traditional rulers building within the premises were seriously affected.
The Governor assured that these acts of criminalities and lawlessness will definitely stop because evil can never trumph over good. He urged the security agencies to go after the criminals and fish them out to face the law of land.
