Glory Okolie, a 21-year-old Nigerian woman, was detained by Nigerian police after she was released from the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State last week after serving more than eight months in prison.

The Imo State Police Command, acting via the Divisional Police Officer of Shell Police Station, detained Okolie, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Okolie was detained, according to a source, when she went to her bank branch in Owerri to withdraw some money.

“The NPF, working with the Imo State Police Command and the DPO of Shell Police Station, re-arrested Okolie, who had only been released on bail from Suleja Prison last week,” the source added.
“When we called the police spokesperson, he said Okolie was arrested because she went to her Owerri bank to withdraw money after the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Unit had flagged it down before her arrest and subsequent bail.”
