Reno Omokri, a controversial author and former Presidential adviser, has responded to the re-arrest of Glory Okolie, a 21-year-old woman who had just recently been released from the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State after more than eight months behind bars.

Okolie was detained, according to a source, when she went to her bank branch in Owerri to withdraw some money.

“The NPF, working with the Imo State Police Command and the DPO of Shell Police Station, re-arrested Okolie, who had only been released on bail from Suleja Prison last week,” the source added.

“When we reached the police spokesperson on phone, he said Okolie was arrested because she went to her Owerri bank to withdraw money, after it was flagged down by the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Unit before her arrest and eventual bail.”

21-year-old Gloria was arrested last year and detained over claims she is an IPOB spy, and met her bail conditions last week.

However, she was arrested again by the Imo State Police Command acting through the Divisional Police Officer of Shell Police Station.

Reacting, Reno Omokri asked why Gloria has been arrested over allegations that she’s an IPOB spy, yet Sheikh Gumi, who meets with bandits and negotiates on their behalf has never been arrested.
