Kaduna Train Attack: How Phone Call Saved My Life – Obi Of Onitsha Reveals

Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, has described how a phone call prevented him from boarding the train that was assaulted on Monday between Abuja and Kaduna.

The train from Abuja to Kaduna was assaulted by bandits, leaving several passengers dead, injured, and abducted.

During a meeting with Igbo leaders under the banner of Ahamefuna Socio-cultural Organization in Enugu on Saturday, April 2nd, the monarch said that he was already in the railway station when a call came in requiring his quick response.

He said: “I was among the passengers meant to be on the train last Monday because I had a meeting I was supposed to be attending. I was already at the train station when I got a call over an emergency and I had to leave the station to attend to it.”

The monarch complained further on the state of insecurity in the country.
