Manchester United have extended a message of solidarity to Louis van Gaal, their former manager, who announced on Sunday that he is suffering from prostate cancer.
Van Gaal joined United in 2014 and stayed at the club for two years.
In his final match as manager, the Dutchman won the FA Cup.

United’s official Twitter account responded, “Sending you strength and bravery, Louis,” with a heart emoji.
Van Gaal is still expected to take the Netherlands to the World Cup in 2022.
The Netherlands are in Group A with hosts Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador.
