LATEST: Cubana Chief Priest Released From EFCC Custody

Pascal Okechukwu, commonly known as Cubana Chief Priest, a popular Nigerian Instagram personality who was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been freed.

Sososoberekon, a coworker, uploaded a photo of himself and Okechukwu on his verified Instagram profile with the caption: “Welcome back @cuba chiefpriest.”
#maziisback efcc tested and trusted.”

It will be remembered that Cubana Chief Priest was detained at the airport on his trip to Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

The Commission’s officers were questioning Okechukwu about alleged money laundering and fraud.

Mr Okechukwu’s disappearance had sparked outrage from various quarters after the socialite who had been silent on Instagram for several days, especially because he had not responded to postings about his birthday wishes.

He was last seen on television at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium during a FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Ghana and Nigeria last Tuesday in Abuja.
