Super Eagles Goal Keeper, Uzoho Finally Reacts Over World Cup qualifier Woes

The Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, has resorted to social media to express his grief at the Nigerian team’s inability to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Uzoho said his failure to stop a Thomas Partey long-range strike, which cost the Eagles a place in the World Cup finals, was the worst moment of his life.

The game concluded in a 1-1 draw, giving Ghana the edge on the road.

He’s now joined Williams Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun in expressing regret over the match’s outcome.

The 23-year-old used Instagram to convey his feelings following the game.

Uzoho stated, “These past few of days have been the worst of my life.”

“I wanted to take my nation to Qatar but rather did the opposite. I know what football means to you all and to myself, I can’t promise not to make mistakes again, but I can promise not to give up until I bring back that smile on your faces. Thank you for the support and God bless.”
