Anambra: Unknown Gunmen Attack Ekwuluobia, Kill Two Security Officers

Gunmen assassinated two security men in Ekwulobia, Anambra State’s Aguata Local Government Area.

According to reports, the victims were killed for attending a prayer session hosted by Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra state.

The terrible situation occurred after the prayer session had completed during Monday’s sit-at-home edict.

According to DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, spokesman for the state police command, just one individual was killed in the incident.

He went on to say that the event took at about 10.30 p.m. on Monday, April 4.

The hoodlums had invaded the area and began to shoot nonstop along the road close to Aguata LGA Secretariat before the bullet hit one of the Church security men.

The spokesman stated that no arrest has been made yet but the command had deployed it’s operatives around the area.

However, an eyewitness told the publication that more than one person was killed from the incident and added that the gunmen invaded the area without any challenge from anywhere.
