After the dead singer’s younger brother reported the situation to the police, Peter Nwachukwu was detained right away, prompting the force to launch an inquiry.

Peter Nwachukwu, speaking from police detention, claimed his late wife had been suffering an illness since November of last year.

He went on to say that he transported her to Federal Medical Center (FMC), then Gwagwalada General Hospital, and lastly National Hospital, where she died.

He did not, however, reveal the nature of her sickness.

Mr Nwachukwu was handcuffed and transported to his residence after confessing, to produce evidence of the hospitals he claimed to have taken his deceased wife to for treatment.
