JUST IN: APC Reveals Date For Presidential Primaries

The ruling All Progressives Congress’s National Executive Committee has announced the date for its presidential primaries.

The NEC authorized the primaries for the 2023 general elections on May 30 and 31 on Wednesday.

This was revealed by the party’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, at the end of a closed-door meeting of the NEC in Abuja.

The ruling party has also set May 18 as the date for governorship primaries, according to Morka, who also stated that the sale of expressions of interest and nomination forms will begin this Saturday.

President Muhammadu Buhari, members of the Progressive Governors Forum, state chairmen, previous governors, and many other governing party stakeholders were present during the meeting.

The National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu during the meeting warned members of the party to suppress their egos which is the cause of differences and disunity in the party.

He promised that the party would attend to every grievance in the party ahead of the 2023 general election.

Adamu also called on serving governors to work with former governors in resolving issues rocking the state chapter of the party.
