See Who Buhari Is Blaming For Illegal Imo Refinery Explosion

Sponsors of the illegal refinery in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, should be held accountable for the deaths of over 100 people in an explosion that shook the area on Friday night.

The president urged the armed forces, security, and intelligence services to increase their efforts in destroying illicit refineries in the region, according to his spokesperson, Garba Shehu.

According to Mr Shehu, the president called the tragedy a “national disaster” and a “catastrophe.”

President Buhari stated that the sponsors of the illegal refinery have all responsibility for the loss of life and property during the tragedy.

According to reports, the owner of the refinery has been identified but is currently at large.

He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, the community and the entire local government.
