2023: If Wike Wins Primaries, Northern Leaders Will Dump PDP – Adeyanju

The possibilities of Governor Nyesom Wike, a presidential contender, earning the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential ticket may raise concern among northern PDP stakeholders.

On Friday, Deji Adeyanju, a famous rights activist, said that Wike’s presidential interest in the PDP was generating a problem in the South-East.

As a split party, he wondered how the PDP planned to win the presidential election in 2023.

On his Twitter page, Adeyanju wrote: “If Wike wins the PDP ticket, I see many of the Northern stakeholders leaving the party or working against him within because they already believe he is responsible for manipulation of many congresses across the country.

“Imagine organizing a parallel primaries in Akwa Ibom because Udom is running for president. See the thing they are doing in Edo. PDP is in complete crisis in the South-East because of Wike’s interest.

“How do you intend to win the general election after dividing your party so much like this because of primaries?”
