Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, warned on Friday that if Bola Tinubu fails to emerge as the APC’s presidential candidate, the country could face catastrophe.
During a TVC interview on Friday, Shettima mentioned this.
Tinubu will be vying for the governing party’s presidential ticket in the party’s presidential primary on June 6th and 7th.

Shettima went on to say that Tinubu has paid the price for the governing party, claiming that the former governor made words that were misquoted.
Tinubu, according to the former governor, was a crucial figure in the 2015 election.
Shettima said, “We are in a democratic situation but I’m afraid it might be catastrophic for the party. I’m not a prophet of doom; I’m an internal optimist. We have done our bidding and by God’s grace, our candidate will emerge as the presidential flagbearer of the APC in the next 72 hours.
“It is not a subject of dispute but a question of time. He has paid the price, and yesterday in Abeokuta, he made some remarks that were deliberately distorted and quoted out of context.
