During an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, governor Bello said he is the voice of the young Nigerians, women and people living with disabilities.

He said: “By June this year, I will be 47. I am still the young of the young people, the voice of the younger generation, the voice for the women, the voice for people living with disabilities, and the voice for Nigerians irrespective of religion, region, or tribe because we have demonstrated it in Kogi State.”

In response to a question on how to address Nigeria’s security issues, the governor stated that his experience in Kogi State has proved his capacity to deal with insecurity.

If elected president in 2023, Bello also vowed to address the country’s security concerns within a year of taking office.

According to the presidential candidate, since taking office as governor of Kogi in 2016, the state has seen low security challenges as a result of his leadership.

“I have demonstrated that well enough in Kogi State. By the special grace of God, we are going to achieve it within the first 12 months of Governor Yahaya Bello’s presidency,” he said.
