Following his emergence as the APC presidential candidate, former Governor of Lagos State Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s acceptance speech drew mixed reactions.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Tinubu won the APC presidential ticket on Wednesday, defeating former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by a landslide.

Tinubu thanked God for the success of the exercise and his election win in his acceptance speech delivered immediately after the news of his victory.

He praised President Muhammadu Buhari for his role in ensuring the smooth administration and conduct of the presidential elections. The incumbent leader, according to Tinubu, is a humble and kind man.

Tinubu claims that he never intended to win the primary election, but that it occurred.

When asked about Osinbajo, Tinubu praised the nation’s number two citizen as a good supportive pillar to President Buhari. Osinbajo was one of Tinubu’s top presidential aspirants.

In his remarks, the former Lagos State governor, however, expressed his displeasure with Senate President Ahmed Lawan’s participation in the campaign.

Tinubu stated that he bears no ill will toward those who refused to resign for him. He also thanked the aspirants who stood down in support of his presidential bid.

Some Nigerians, on the other hand, resorted to social media to share their feelings about the acceptance speech.
