Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has informed the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that his state would not participate in the fight for an independent nation.

Ebonyi people are marginalized and ignored in the South East, according to the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum and past Presidential hopeful.

The state, according to Umahi, would not participate in the war for Biafra’s actualization because of his people’s marginalization.

He said: “In the comity of South-East, Ebonyi people are not regarded. I continue to say that Ebonyi will never be Biafra.”

Nnamdi Kanu, who is being held by the Department of State Security (DSS), has been leading the struggle for Biafra’s actualization for years, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Kanu asserted in a series of interviews that the Federal Government’s marginalization of the South East was the basis for their push for seccession.

Meanwhile, governors in the South-West zone have debated and determined to limit the activities of motorcycle riders known as Okada riders in order to combat escalating instability in the region.
